About

I'm a teenage baker from a tiny little village in England. Baking is a major passion of mine, as is reading. Hence my love of Alice In Wonderland. Baking is something that everyone can do, whether you're 5 or 85,  and in my opinion, it's something that's loved by everyone. I love how there's a recipe for every mood, whether you feeling brave and willing to try something new, or whether you simply want a classic Victoria sponge, there's always going to be something to suit your fancy.

When people ask me how I got into baking, I always think it should be an easy question to answer. Yet I've never been, and am still not, entirely sure! I think the first thing I ever "baked" was a 'Bertie Crunchie', which, come to think of it, requires no baking at all! I probably made my first cake with my nanny Jackie. I vividly remember baking round hers with my sister and always being allowed to lick the spatula and bowl. (But this was the same nanny who first fed me Nutella on porridge- YUM!)

After that I baked rarely, maybe once a year, if that. The nearest I came to baking was watching my sister and Dad make the Christmas cake every year! Then all of a sudden I decided to bake and since then I simply haven't stopped. Now there's almost always some kind of cake or biscuit-y type good sitting in a Tupperware box waiting for my Dad to get home and devour them!

This blog is just to keep track of everything I bake, and hopefully it may even inspire you to get into the kitchen and try some of the things out! Enjoy, and happy baking!
